Karen is a second-year student in the Mental Health Counseling M.Ed. program at Lehigh University. She completed her B.S. in Psychology with honors at Penn State Harrisburg. As a second generation Dominican immigrant, Karen's research interests are minority mental health and the American dream pipeline covering the experiences of immigrant individuals from students in higher education to employees in the workplace. Karen aims to become a resource for her community as a mental health professional that offers services in both English and Spanish and as a diversity, equity, and inclusions n advocate for BIPOC employees.
