Counseling Psychology Doctoral Student

Mackenzie is a second-year Counseling Psychology Ph.D. student in the College of Education at Lehigh University. She earned her BA in Psychology, magna cum laude, at Loyola University Maryland. After graduating from Loyola, Mackenzie took on a role as a Research Program Coordinator at Johns Hopkins University in the Division of Geriatric Medicine, where she worked to advance the field of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. She has spent the last several years working directly with a diverse community of older adults and their families to provide guidance and support as they cope with and navigate the complexities of memory loss. Her research interests include geriatric psychology, aging, Alzheimer’s disease & related dementias, and caregiver support. Mackenzie aims to increase the well-being of marginalized communities and ultimately support to those experiencing health inequalities.
